Priyanka-Nick Engagement: B-Town Celebs Wish The Couple On Their ‘Roka’

Mumbai: Bollywood’s Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra and Hollywood Singer-Actor Nick Jonas finally got engaged in a traditional ‘Roka’ ceremony at Priyanka’s Mumbai residence. While PeeCee’s close friends and family members were part of the ceremony, Nick’s parents Denise Miller Jonas and Paul Kevin Jonas marked their presence alongside Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra. Social media was flooded with pictures of the duo performing the engagement rituals dressed in traditional Indian attires.

While Priyanka was seen in a sunshine yellow Lucknowi Chikan Salwar-Kameez, Nick looked every bit of an Indian groom in a white Kurta-Churidaar. Friends and family members of the couple also took to Instagram to wish them. Nick’s brother Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, who got engaged to Joe last year, both congratulated the couple through Instagram posts.

The ‘Roka’ ceremony was followed by a lavish party which was attended by Priyanka’s friends including the Ambanis, Alia Bhatt, Alvira Khan and cousin Parineeti Chopra among others.

Today I witnessed magic and a fairytale … When we were kids, mimi didi and I used to play “ghar ghar”. We would pretend to be shy brides, have imaginary children, and serve tea to our husbands! 🙈🙈 cheesy, but its because we always believed in the magic of love and hoped we would both find that perfect man for us one day!!
