Priyanka Chopra Talks About Her Role In ‘The Sky Is Pink’

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra, whose last Bollywood outing was Jai Gangajal (2016), is all set to make a comeback with Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’. The film is based on the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and died at an early age. In the film, PeeCee will be seen alongside Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf.

Talking about her role in the film, Priyanka said, “Though the film is about parents losing their child to an incurable disease, it’s a unique take on death- one that celebrates people’s lives instead of mourning their death. It was a challenge to go from 22 to 60 after 7 Khoon Maaf (2011). I was able to sink my teeth in the part.”

On her career goals, Priyanka further revealed that work in both countries is equally important for her and she wishes to do good work. The actress added, “I have missed the madness of Hindi movies. I don’t look at it as a choice between Hollywood and Bollywood; it’s the magic of movies. The first thing I did after Quantico was a Hindi movie. My career in both countries is dear to me, and as long as people want to watch me, I’ll stay!”

Co-produced by Purple Pebble Pictures along with Siddharth Roy Kapur Roy Kapur Films and Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Productions, ‘The Sky Is Pink’ is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
