Indian Idol 12 winner, Pawandeep Rajan, has recently recorded his first song with co- contestants Arunita Kanjilal and Ashish Kukkarni.

Along with winning the trophy for Indian Idol 12, the rising star also touched the hearts of many across the globe with his amazing voice and unique style of singing. He has also managed to garner a massive fan following on social media.

In the midst of all the love and success coming his way, the young singer has now also recorded his first song with his Indian Idol 12 co-contestants. In a recent interview he expressed his emotions over the events happening in his life currently.

Pawandeep’s song with Ashish was recorded on a grand scale with over 70 musicians being a part of the track, recorded at Yash Raj Studios. Talking about it to Pinkvilla Ashish said, “It feels great to work with such senior musicians and legendary artists. They played for us when we were participants in Indian Idol and now we are getting to work with them as music composers.”

The singing reality show winner on the other hand, who himself plays a lot of instruments, kept praising the musicians and was thrilled to have recorded the song with his friends. While he is hopeful for the song, he reportedly stated, “We had the strings section recording today. It was a pleasure to see these great musicians play live here for our song”.

Pawandeep also recorded a duet with Arunita, and she said, “We have to listen to this song at least 10 times to know the instruments used in the song.” Pawan also applauded his co-singers and said, “Arunita has sung really well and Ashish da made the song in one go.”

Producer-director Raj Surani was also amazed by the young talent as he said, “I felt that they are seasoned composers and their composition is sure to bring back the melody which has been in today’s song.”
