Bollywood’s most loved veteran musician, Bappi Lahiri, passed away on February 15 at a hospital in Mumbai due to multiple health issues. He was 69-years-old at the time of his demise. He was an Indian singer, composer, politician and record producer and is best known for popularising disco music in Indian cinema, for which he also earned the title of ‘Disco King’. However, his fandom was not just limited to India and an old video of a Russian man singing one of his hit songs rests the case.

Although Bappi Da’s four-decade-long illustrious career contributed so much more to the Indian music industry, from peppy hit tracks like Jimmy Jimmy, Tamma Tamma, among many other, the song ‘I Am A Disco Dancer’ from the 1982 movie Disco Dancer, still remains a hot-favourite of many.

Several fans of Lahiri took to social media to pay tribute to the legendary singer, and among those posts a video of a Russian man singing and dancing to the iconic song has also circulated on social media.

In the video, the man can be seen dressed like the character portrayed by Mithun Chakraborty in the song. And the setting appears to be a stage of some sort of talent show. The Russian man goes on to sing the famous Bappi Lahiri song that made the audience cheer in joy and the judges too could be seen impressed.
