Bhubaneswar: Three well-known actors of Odia films, Samaresh Routray, Durga Shankar Das, popularly known as Bulu and Sambit Acharya have turned producer. In a press conference recently held in Bhubaneswar they revealed about their production houses. Samaresh, Bulu and Sambit have started the production houses ‘S3 Music’, ‘Labanya Pictures’ and ‘DKF’ respectively.
Award winning film director Himanshu Khatua and and editor of ‘Kadambini’ magazine renowned writer Dr Iti Samanata graced the occasion as guests.
Initially the three production houses will make two films together. The first venture is ‘Awara Dil’. Samaresh Routray presented this film will be directed by Sudhakara Basant while music will be scored by Abhijit Majumdar and camera will be handled by Ajit.
The second film ‘Tike Love Tike Twist’ will be directed by SK Muralidharan while Prem Anand will score the music and R Bhagat Singh will be the cameraman. Dialogues of the two films will be written by Rajani Ranjan while Manas Sahu will be the editor.
Sambit Acharya and Poonam Mishra will play the protagonists in both the films. First look of these films were released in the press conference. The full team was also announced on this occasion and the producers intimated that rest of the actors and crew members will be selected and the shoot will start within fifteen days. The other guests on this occasion were actor Siddhanta Mohapatra, producer Pradyumna Lenka, Swadesh Kumar Routray , Sukanta Acharya and Niranjan Mishra. During the conference Samaresh told media that the three production houses will together not only make feature films but also come up with music videos, short films, documentary films and web series.
