Odia film Actor Papu Pom Pom in controversy again

Bhubaneswar: Odia film actor cum comedian Papu Pom Pom has again entangled in controversy. This time the actor has been questioned for the poster of his upcoming film ‘Kanheya’. The film has been scheduled to release this Ganesh puja.

In the poster of the upcoming film, Papu is seen holding multiple strings on his one hand while the other ends of those strings are connected to seven girls. From the photo, it appears that as if the actor is holding the strings attached to a bunch of dogs.

The poster has earned criticism from many people. Especially internationally acclaimed sprinter from Odisha Dutee Chand has raised a question against the poster on her social media account. She has complained that the poster is diminishing the prestige of women as a whole. In her post Dutee has requested the production company of the film to withdraw the poster.
