Odia CISF Officer who stopped Salman Khan at Mumbai airport rewarded, Not penalised

Mumbai: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer who has been making headlines after appearing in a paparazzi video which showed him stopping Bollywood actor Salman Khan to undergo security check at the Mumbai airport has not been penalised, accorinding to reports. Infact, the CISF has said that the officer has been rewarded for his exemplary professionalism.

On August 20, a video of Salman was doing rounds on the internet where an Odia Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Officer stopped Salman Khan from entering the airport and asked him to get in line and complete his security check. Salman Khan was heading towards Russia for the shoot of his next movie Tiger 3. He also told the photographers to stay back.

Earlier in some reports it was claimed that the officer, identified as ASI Somnath Mohanty of Nayagarh district, had landed in trouble for interacting with one of the news media channel of Odisha.

However, CISF replied to a tweet of journalist and wrote “The contents of this tweet are incorrect & without factual basis. In fact, the officer concerned has been suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty.”

The moment this video was shared on social media, netizens were highly impressed with the officer’s dedication to his duty and for enforcing all rules equally for citizens irrespective of their celebrity status.

Salman was last seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The film opened to negative reviews and was trolled left, right and centre on social media. As for Katrina, the actress will now star in Sooryavanshi alongside Akshay Kumar. She will also be a part of Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
