Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame smashes box office records

New Delhi: Disney-Marvel’s latest offering Avengers: Endgame is smashing box office records globally at an unprecedented pace. Anthony and Joe Russo’s film has collected Rs 2,130 crore in just two days, reports Deadline.

On the first day of its release globally, the film has collected around $169 million (Rs 1,186 crore). The world’s highest-grossing franchise is eyeing a record-breaking collection of over $800 million globally in its first weekend alone. Additionally, the multi-superhero film is expected to earn around Rs 400 crore at the Indian box office.

In India, Avengers: Endgame is running to packed theatres. The film has sold over 25 lakh tickets in advance bookings, setting the record of highest ever advance ticket sales for a Hollywood movie on BookMyShow.

Avengers: Endgame is the much-awaited finale of the 22 film saga. The movie will show Captain Marvel joining the team of surviving Avengers to protect the universe from Thanos. The film will feature Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Dr Banner aka The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
