Mahesh Babu opens up on his Bollywood debut, says they “can’t afford me”

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu recently interacted with the media at the trailer launch of Adivi Sesh’s Major. During the event he opened up about making his Bollywood debut. He said that Hindi film industry ‘cannot afford him’, so he wouldn’t waste time in doing Hindi films.

Mahesh Babu also revealed his plans to venture into the OTT, and said that he is meant for the big screens hence, and wouldn’t think about foraying into digital space.

The ‘Spyder’ actor said that he did get a lot of offers in Hindi, he never felt like they can afford him. Therefore, he doesn’t want to waste his time working in an industry which can’t afford him. He further added that the stardom and the respect he gets in South is huge, so he never really thought of leaving his industry.

He has always thought of doing films and becoming bigger, and now that his dreams are coming true, he can’t be happier, Mahesh said.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The Parasuram Petla directorial is set to hit the theatres on May 12, 2022. After this, the actor might join hands with director SS Rajamouli for an adventure thriller.
