The health condition of India’s singing icon Lata Mangeshkar, who was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after she tested positive for Covid-19, has deteriorated once again.
In early January the 92-year-old Bharat Ratna awardee was admitted to hospital after getting affected with Covid and later she developed pneumonia and was taken to the ICU, where a team of doctors is taking care of her.
Few days ago, she was given a “trial of extubation (off the invasive Ventilator)” and was showing signs of improvement, the Mangeshkar family said in a statement.
She is still under observation of the team of doctors headed by Dr Pratit Samdani. However, her health has deteriorated once again.
The legendary Indian play-back singer was admitted to the hospital near her home in south Mumbai with Covid-19 and related health issues. She had tested positive on Tuesday (January 11) after reportedly contracting the virus from one of the house helps.
