This was followed by a tweet which stated-

Rumour mills are buzz that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli come together in one of the episodes of the show. Karan might even invite Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas to grace the couch. There are also reports that rumoured couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt may also turn up together in Koffee with Karan 6.
Notably, director Karan Johar had made his television debut as a talk show host with Koffee with Karan in 2004. The talk show has celebrities talk nineteen to the dozen and their cheeky banter has often led to controversies.
The third episode of Season 3, featuring guests Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor, had generated huge media buzz after the two actresses ganged up and took sarcastic potshots at Ranbir Kapoor on the show. Similarly, in the last season, host Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut had a small clash over Karan making fun of Kangana’s English on the same show and stating that he never expected Kangana to give such phenomenal and National Award winning performances. Kangana, on the other hand, had retorted by calling Karan Johar a snooty Bollywood bigwig who is intolerant of others entering the industry. She even called him the ‘Flag bearer of nepotism’ in Bollywood. This gave rise to a huge uproar on social media with people taking sides and both Karan and Kangana giving clarifications to justify their stance.
