Kim Kardashian Files For Divorce From Kanye West After Seven years of Marriage

TV star Kim Kardashian Filed For Divorce from rapper Kanye West on Friday after seven years of Marriage, her publicist told AFP.

The mega-celebrity couple’s divorce proceedings come just weeks after US media reported the pair were living separately and going through counselling dealing with “regular relationship issues.”

According to TMZ, Kardashian has asked for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children who all are aged seven or under.

The couple started dating in 2012 and had their first child in 2013 and later West proposed to her the very next year and they got married on May 24, 2014, in a ceremony at a Renaissance fortress in Florence, Italy.

Their marriage was in trouble as West has battled with mental health issues and launched an Uncertain and controversial statement into US politics. During the US presidential election campaign, he spoke about the issues that including the consideration of abortion of his first child with then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian. Which then turned into a big controversy.

He also posted a series of tweets, later deleted, that accused his wife and mother-in-law of trying to lock him up and suggested he was seeking a divorce.

West declared that he was battling bipolar disorder. Things turned out to be worst between them in 2020.
