KGF 2 crosses Rs. 1100 cr worldwide post Eid, beats RRR as Third biggest Indian movie ever
The most anticipated Yash starrer movie of the year ‘KGF Chapter-2’ has smashed one more box office record. After the Eid collection, it has now crosses Rs. 1100 crore box office collection worldwide and overtaken RRR as third biggest Indian movie ever.
Lat weekend, the film crossed Rs. 1000 crores worldwide and joined the leagues of Aamir Khan’s Dangal, SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali, and RRR.
However, in just five days, the movie picked up another Rs. 100 crores, cruising past Rs. 1100 crores on Thursday. With the new milestone KGF-2 has now outpaced RRR which was also heading for Rs. 1100 crores and stands around Rs. 5 crores behind the benchmark.
Reportedly, KGF 2 is now the biggest grosser of the year 2022 worldwide, and biggest Indian movie ever. It is likely to stay that way until Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha challenges it, if that breakouts in China.
It is speculated that the movie will probably add another Rs. 75 crores or so to its total in India. But, if there is more anticipation seen in the coming days then it can even touch Rs. 1200 crores worldwide mark.
In the past few days, the sudden surge in its box office collection was due to the Eid holidays on the weekdays in the Middle East and Malaysia.
