Kareena Kapoor Khan To Star In A Dark, Female-Centric Comedy?

Mumbai: After making a spectacular comeback in the blockbuster ‘Veere Di Wedding’, Kareena Kapoor Khan is back with a bang. Basking in the success of Veere, she is looking forward to her upcoming projects ‘Good News’ and ‘Takht’. And if rumours are to be believed, Kareena may soon giver her nod to star in a dark, women centric comedy film.

As per reports, Kareena has recently been offered a dark comedy film, which is a female-oriented drama set in the rural hinterlands of Uttar Pradesh. The story revolves around the female protagonist and Kareena will be seen playing a village girl in the film. However, the actress is yet to get a narration of the film and she will reportedly sign the dotted line after hearing the final script.

The ‘Jab We Met’ actress will wrap up the shooting of ‘Good News’ sometime around in March. After this, she will take a four-month break before starting the shoot of Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’.

Interestingly, both Good News and Takht are being produced by Dharma Productions. In Raj Mehta’s ‘Good News’, Kareena reunites with Akshay Kumar after 11 years. The film also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani and is scheduled to hit theatres on July 19, 2018.

In Karan Johar’s magnum opus ‘Takht’, Kareena will be seen alongside Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. In the movie, she will be seen playing the Shah Jehan’s daughter Jahanara Begum.
