Mumbai: After striking gold with ‘Bahubali’ franchise, filmmaker Karan Johar has announced Rajnikanth’s ‘2.0’ under his banner Dharma Productions. Also starring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, the film is a sci-fi where Kumar plays the protagonist opposite Rajnikanth.

Directed by Shankar Shanmugh and produced by Lyca Productions in association with Dharma Productions, ‘2.0’ is being touted as the most expensive film to have come out in the recent years. The high-tech post-production work had got the film delayed. Furthermore, Karan informed that the first teaser of the film will be out on September 13.
