‘Ishq Vishk’ actress Shenaz Treasury gets diagnosed with Prosopagnosia, unable to remember faces
Actor- travel blogger Shenaz Treasury, who is best known for her role in the 2003 hit ‘Ishq Vishk’, has been diagnosed with Prosopagnosia. The actress took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to break the news to her fans.
Prosopagnosia is a disease where one cannot recognize people’s faces. It is also known as face blindness. Talking about her illness in her Instagram story, Shenaz mentioned that she has been diagnosed with prosopagnosia. The actress wrote, “You have difficulty recognizing neighbors, friends, coworkers, clients, schoolmates (etc.) out of context. People you know expect you to recognize them. Failing to recognize someone might make you seem aloof. Many sufferers report losing friends and offending coworkers because they have failed to recognize them.”
“This is me!!! And I thought I was just dumb” she added to her statement.
In another story, Shenaz wrote mentioned how people suffering from face blindness use hairstyles as a way to remember people. However, when the person changes their hair, that memory cue is lost. At last, she requests everyone to understand her situation and be kind to her.
