The 2003 Bollywood romance drama Ishq Vishk is all set to get a sequel. The film marks Shahid Kapoor’s acting debut. It not only ended up making him an overnight star but his pairing with actress Amrita Rao was much appreciated by the fans, after which the duo got to do three movies together which include, Vivah, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! and Shikhar.
As per an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, the much-awaited sequel of the movie is back on track, and the script is being developed.
According to the report, a source close to the development of the project has informed that Ramesh Taurani, producer of the film, is extremely excited about Ishq Vishk 2 and will soon look for a director and the actors as soon as the final script is locked. The writers have already started working on the script. Moreover, the source also said that the development for the movie was on hold due to the pandemic, but it is now back on track.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Taurani’s recently released Bhoot Police starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Yami Gautam is receiving an encouraging response from the audience. The producer is also heard to have been planning a sequel of Bhoot Police, while the viewers are enjoying the first part he is looking forward to taking it forward with the team.
