The action pack sequel, helmed by Ayan Mukerji, will release in theatres on August 14, 2025, and the trailer will be out on July 25 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

The producers of the movie went social to announce the news, accompanied by a thrilling poster and a special message. They set July 25 as the trailer release date to commemorate a historic milestone – 25 years of glorious film journey for two legends of Indian cinema. This date is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and YRF is making it even more special with the release of the War 2 trailer.

War 2 is turning out to be one of the largest Bollywood releases of the year with a huge pan-India release on more than 7,500 screens across the world. The movie will also get an exclusive three-week run in IMAX, stressing its place as one of the largest theater events of 2025. The Telugu rights have been bought by Sithara Entertainments’ Naga Vamsi for a whopping Rs 80 crore, stressing the film’s high commercial prospects.

The earlier-this-year released teaser created massive buzz, particularly with the dramatic face-off between Hrithik and Jr NTR, two biggie actors sharing the screen together for the very first time. Ayan Mukerji directs War 2 for the first time in the YRF Spy Universe and his first-ever collaboration with Yash Raj Films. As the trailer releases on July 25, fans are in for a treat.
