First Look Posters of Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Jabariya Jodi’ Released

Mumbai: The first look posters of ‘Jabariya Jodi’ starring Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles has been released. The poster of the movie was released by Parineeti Chopra on her official Twitter handle and informed that the shooting of the film has commenced.

In the poster, Parineeti and Sidharth are seen looking at each other adorably while there is an unconscious bridegroom seated between them. If the poster is anything to go by, the movie promises to be a fun ride with dollops of comedy and romance.

Sidharth Malhotra also shared a poster of the film revealing the names of the characters played by him and Parineeti in the film. While Sidharth plays Abhay in the film, Parineeti will be seen playing Babli in ‘Jabariya Jodi’.

The stars are currently in Lucknow to shoot for the first leg of the schedule. Interesringly, Sidharth and Parineeti are reuniting after 4 years of ‘Hasee To Phasee’ which had released in 2014.

Earlier titled ‘Shotgun Shadi’, Jabariya Jodi is produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and is based on the pakadwa vivaah or groom kidnapping tradition of Bihar. It marks the directorial debut of Prashant Singh, an associate of Aanand L Rai.

Sidharth Malhotra has expressed joy over reuniting with Parineeti after a long time for ‘Jabariya Jodi’, which according to him is a mixture of good content, comedy and humour. As per reports, both Sidharth and Parineeti will be taking diction and body language classes to get into the skin of their character. The movie will be extensively shot in Bihar and Lucknow.
