Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar to get married today

Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are all set to tie the knot today, February 19, and a civil ceremony will reportedly take place. The family has been quite discreet about this wedding as they don’t want the media to turn up at the venue, therefore, the ceremony will be held with the presence of family and close friends only. However, unlike what was shared earlier, there will be no Maharashtrian wedding or Nikah ceremony, sources revealed.

Reportedly, the couple will have a simple wedding that includes self-written vows.

According to an exclusive report by IndiaToday.in, the couple wanted to keep it as basic and simple as possible. The guests have also been asked to wear easy colours like pastels and whites for the wedding. Instead of a Nikah or Marathi wedding, they have opted for an intimate vow ceremony. Both the love birds have written down their vows which they will read out on the main function. Fans are excited to see Farhan and Shibani as bride and groom.

As per the sources, the couple will register the wedding at their Bandra house on February 21. Following the registration a reception of sorts will be held for friends and colleagues in the evening.

On February 17 and 18, pre-wedding festivities were commenced in Mumbai. After fun-filled mehendi and sangeet ceremonies, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding is all set to take place today in Khandala. Around 50 odd guests will be attending the wedding, the list includes Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapur, Samir Kochhar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidwani and Rhea Chakraborty, among others.

Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are also on the guest list, but there has been no official confirmation on whether they are attending Farhan and Shibani’s big day.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar started dating in 2018. Farhan was earlier married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani, with whom he has two daughters – Shakya and Akira.

On work front, Farhan will soon be making his directorial return with a film called Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
