Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan has finally announced his next film titled ‘Dunki.’ This marks his first ever collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this collab to happen.
Reportedly, Dunki is based on Donkey Flight, which is an illegal method of entering a foreign country via multiple stops in other countries. Youngsters use this common escape path to settle in the US and Canada.
The two biggest forces in Indian cinema, Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan will come together for the first time to make Dunki happen. While talking to media about working with SRK, Rajkumar Hirani said that through the course of his career, Shah Rukh has always been on his wish list. After trying to collaborate with SRK several times in the past, they have finally marked their partnership with ‘Dunki.’
Shah Rukh on the other hand expressed that Raj Kumar Hirani is one of the finest filmmakers of this generation and that they have always spoken about working together. However, the fact that they have finally landed over a project together, brings him joy. They have started shooting for the movie this month and he is cherishing every moment of it. “Raju ke liye main Donkey, Monkey…kuch bhi ban sakta hoon!” SRK added to his statement.
King Khan also breaks the stereotype that a big star like him has to have a big budget movie, and opts for a smaller budget for Dunki. After Swades this will be SRK’s second low budget movie.
The shooting of the film will mostly be in the outskirts of Mumbai. Reportedly, the entire star cast has already started working on the film from this month itself and they are inching for a July wrap up.
Apart from the superstar’s presence in this movie, a fresh paring of SRK and Taapee Pannu will be something new for the audience.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment dropped a funny video featuring SRK and Hirani talking about the film.
