Mumbai: Dua Lipa’s much-awaited Mumbai concert on Saturday did not disappoint, she brought the Shah Rukh Khan magic to the stage, leaving desi fans extremely happy something that left the crowds in raptures.
Fans had been trolling for months that Dua Lipa would surely bring in one of Shah Rukh Khan’s classics to her lineup, and everyone was of the idea that she must have brought a mashup version of her popular hit “Levitating” with the cult bollywood song “Woh Ladki Jo” from the Baadshah movie. Even that dream came true as it was revealed by Dua Lipa herself.
Several videos of the concerts of that event went viral, such as when Dua Lipa was sung to in a fan-made mashup, the whole audience erupted into cheers and applause as she effortlessly transitioned into both songs.
It is well-known that Dua Lipa loves Shah Rukh Khan. She was visiting India in 2019, and there she met the famous Bollywood icon. They also clicked a picture together for which Shah Rukh Khan posted it on his Instagram.
In the caption of this, Shah Rukh Khan complimented Dua Lipa by stating he thought she was “cute and beautiful.” With his humorous remark funny as he was ‘teaching her the dancing steps’, saying “Dua, if you could try the steps I teach you on stage.” But then it also brought out the jovialness in their banter like how both are.
The gesture taken up by Dua Lipa from the Shah Rukh Khan classic for her performance will surely have won her all the Indian fans. Her Mumbai concert will be remembered for years and years to come, like a memorable celebration of music, culture, and mutual admiration.
