Mumbai: Punjabi Heartthrob Diljit Dosanjh and actress Kiara Advani started shooting for their new film ‘Good News’ on Friday. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, ‘Good News’ is directed by Raj Mehta and stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar in lead roles.
As per reports, Diljit and Kiara play a married couple in the film. Kiara took to Twitter to announce the news with a video, in which she can be seen with Diljit. In the video, she holds a placard that reads “Have you heard the news today? Chill… It’s all Good News! Raj Mehta, Diljit Dosanjh and I are missing you Akshay Kumar sir, Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan see you all soon!”

Producer of the film Karan Johar also took to Twitter and wrote “Good News starts today with Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani! Akshay Kumar and Kareenna Kapoor Khan will join soon! Fun times begin under the baton of debut director Raj Mehta.”

Good News is slated for a theatrical release on July 19, 2019.
