Did Priyanka Chopra Walk Out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Film After Quitting ‘Bharat’?
Mumbai: Almost a year back, it was reported that ace-filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to make a film titled Gangubai Kothewali, based on the life of a famous lady gangster of Mumbai, who was once known as ‘Madame of Kamathipura’. It was also reported that Priyanka Chopra has been roped by Bhansali to star in the movie. The director, who had earlier directed PeeCee in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ wanted her to play the role as she perfectly suited the character.
However, latest media reports suggest that after walking out of Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’, Priyanka Chopra has quit Bhansali’s film too.
It is being said that Priyanka left Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project as it clashed with the dates of her Hollywood film ‘Cowboy Ninja Viking’ opposite Chris Pratt of ‘Jurrasic Park’ fame.
At present, PeeCee has an interesting line-up of Hollywood flicks like Baywatch, A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic. After walking out of ‘Bharat’, she has been replaced by Katrina Kaif in the film. However, there is no news as to who would replace her in Bhansali’s film.
Priyanka’s next Bollywood release will be Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’. She has already started shooting for the film in which she stars alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
