Dhadak inches closer to the 50 Crore mark on Day 7
The Ishaan-Janhvi starrer is all set to enter the 50-crore club on its second week of release

Mumbai: Last Friday’s release Dhadak, starring debutantes Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter has collected a total of Rs. 48.01 Crore and is slowly inching towards the 50-Crore mark. The movie, directed by Shashank Khaitaan and produced by Karan Johar is a hindi remake of the hit Marathi film ‘Sairat’. It stars Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of superstar Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor who has been paired opposite Ishaan Khatter, step-brother of bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. Besides the duo, the movie also stars Ashustosh Rana in a pivotal role.

Dhadak’s day 1 collections were a whopping 8.50 crore, making it the highest grossing Bollywood film featuring newcomers. The movie got mixed reviews from the critics but the audiences have liked the fresh pairing of Jahnvi and Ishaan and their sweet chemistry. The film is a love story based on Ishaan and Jahnvi and has been extensively shot in Udaipur and Kolkata.
