Deepika Pakudone Step Down As MAMI Chairperson

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone issued a statement on Monday that she has resigned as the Chairperson for Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI).

Deepika Took Over as the Chairperson of MAMI in 2019, she had replaced filmmaker Kiran Rao.

The actor shared the news with her fans on her official Instagram account with a note that read, “Being on the board of MAMI and serving as Chairperson has been a deeply enriching experience. As an artist, it was invigorating to bring together cinema and talent from all over the world to Mumbai, my second home.

“I have come to realize, however, that with my current slate of work, I will be unable to give MAMI the undivided focus and attention it requires, Deepika added.

On Work Front, Deepika will share screen space with husband Ranveer Singh in the upcoming film “83”.

She will also be seen in Shakun Batra’s next, which co-stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday, she has also welcomed Amitabh Bachchan on board for the Bollywood remake of ‘The Intern’.
