Cruise drug bust case: Aryan Khan’s bail plea to be heard on Wednesday
Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was denied bail by a Mumbai Court on Friday after he was arrested in connection with the cruise drug bust case. Later, King Khan’s lawyer approached the Special NDPS Court (Sessions level) for bail, the hearing date was scheduled for today. Mumbai sessions court has agreed to hear the bail plea of the star kid, on Wednesday after Narcotics Control Bureau files a reply.
The court has asked the NCB to file its reply on October 13, 2021 morning and argue in the same matter during the second half of the same day.
Aryan and five other accused have already spent three days in the Arthur road jail’s quarantine cell. Two female accused were sent to Byculla women’s jail.
An NCB team raided the Goa-bound Cordelia cruise on October 2 and claimed to have recovered drugs. So far, a total of 20 persons have been arrested in the case including Aryan Khan. The 20th arrest was made yesterday, who is identified as a Nigerian national and goes by the name Okaro Ouzama.
As per the reports, a drug peddler has also been arrested from Santacruz, who was trying to sell contraband to one of the arrested accused. The peddler’s link was found during the interrogation of the accused, said an NCB official.
