Mumbai: Actress Sonam Kapoor on Friday said that good literature and content are the backbone of films and writers should be given their proper due. The actor, who is the brand ambassador of the Jio MAMI festival’s ‘Word to Screen’ initiative further expressed that she believes there is more fun in adapting a good book to screen as there is a familiarity with the characters besides ample scope to interpret and imagine.

Sonam was a head-turner at the event, dressed in a bright blue dress from Georgian designer Keti Chkhikvadze’s collection. The actress was seen sporting soft curls, which is a part of her look for the upcoming flick ‘The Zoya Factor’.
