Content Is King; Writers Should Get Their Due: Sonam Kapoor

Mumbai: Actress Sonam Kapoor on Friday said that good literature and content are the backbone of films and writers should be given their proper due. The actor, who is the brand ambassador of the Jio MAMI festival’s ‘Word to Screen’ initiative further expressed that she believes there is more fun in adapting a good book to screen as there is a familiarity with the characters besides ample scope to interpret and imagine.

Sonam was a head-turner at the event, dressed in a bright blue dress from Georgian designer Keti Chkhikvadze’s collection. The actress was seen sporting soft curls, which is a part of her look for the upcoming flick ‘The Zoya Factor’.

However, they are not given their due credit because they work behind the scenes and are less in the public eye.

On the work front, Sonam Kapoor has started shooting for ‘The Zoya Factor’ with South actor Dulquer Salman. She will be next seen in ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’ where she features alongside father Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla. The movie is slated to release on February 1, 2019.
