Amaal Malik cuts ties with family saying it’s  not due to anger rather it is necessary for his mental peace.

Famous composer, Amaal malik has finally opened up about his battle with clinical depression and unfriendly relationship with his brother Armaan Malik. He said that his parents are responsible for it as they always made him feel that he wasn’t doing enough. In an instagram post he revealed that he will from now on maintain only professional relation with them.

Amaal Malik opens up about his clinical depression

Musician Amaal Malik has been struggling with clinical depression and has announced his decision to distance himself from his family. In an emotional note he spoke about the pain that he has endured over the years and the unfriendly relation with his brother Armaan Malik, blaming his parents for it.

Amaal said that he has been tirelessly working in the music industry creating 126 melodies in last decade. Despite his efforts, his parents have always made him feel undermine, which drastically effected his mental health and self-worth.

He mentioned how he and his brother have redefined their identity in music industry, moving beyond and not being recognised as someone’s son or nephew. But, the emotional struggles have taken a toll on him.

He further added that he is standing at such a point where he has been robbed of peace, drained out emotionally, maybe financially but that’s not the main point. What mattered the most was his diagnosis of depression because of the happenings. He revealed that he is the one he blames for his actions but his self-worth was diminished countless times by actions of near and dear ones which stole pieces of his soul.

The decision he has taken is not out of anger but out of necessity so that he could reclaim his life, and get back to his worth. He doesn’t want his past to affect his future anymore.

He is committed to rebuild his life, piece by piece, with strength and courage.

Several people have commented on his post for his courage and will to be vulnerable yet strong at the same time.

He has composed more than 126 songs and has created a strong foothold in the music industry.
