Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, are once again hitting the headlines for all wrong reasons. A Mumbai-based businessman has registered a complaint against them along with some other people for alleged duping him of Rs 1.51 crore.

According to the sources, the FIR was lodged today morning, at Bandra police station by a businessman identified as Nitin Barai.

Nitin alleged that Shilpa Shetty, and the director of SFL Fitness company-Kaashif Khan, along with others, advised him to invest Rs 1.51 crore into the enterprise to earn a profit. He also claimed that the SFL Fitness company promised to provide him a franchise to open a gym and spa at Hadapsar and Koregaon in neighbouring Pune. However, the company did not keep its part of the deal, reports the FIR.

According to the complainant, when he asked for his money back, he was allegedly threatened; said the police officer quoting the FIR.

The Bandra police has registered the FIR against the celebrity couple along with other accused under the Indian Penal Code Sections, including 420 (cheating), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention). The investigation into the case is underway.
