Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee starrer movie Bunty Aur Babli 2’s trailer released today. Within the fond memories of the 2005 heist film Bunty Aur Babli, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji, fans are intrigued with the movie’s sequel. Although, the movie stars Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh as new Bunty and Babli, Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee can also be seen in a very different avatar.
Bunty Aur Babli 2 is full on entertainment movie that revolves around a theme of original Bunty and Babli trying to catch the con artist who used their names to cast fraud in order to earn money. The three-minute trailer opens up with Rani and Saif’s characters leading a domesticated life with their son. One day, they get picked up by a police officer, played by Pankaj Tripathy, in allegations of conning people. It comes to their notice while being tied up to the railway track that some other couple has been using their names to con people.
Their rival con artists, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh, who are using the OG’s brand can then be seen running back and forth from Saif and Rani all throughput the film as they decided to catch them. Although, they work with the police to save their ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ brand’s dignity they are highly bashed by the scamster.
The trailer seems fun packed, fast-paced heist and meta jokes keeps it interesting, The sequel also did not forget Abhishek Bachchan, who played the role of Bunty in the first part of the movie, as in a scene the veteran comedian Asrani’s character can be seen calling Saif ‘Babli’. When the actor asks ‘shakal se mai Babli dikhta hun aapko?’ he replies, “Shakal se toh Bunty bhi nahi lagte.”
Written and directed by Varun V Sharma, Bunty Aur Babli 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It will release in theatres on November 19, 2021.
