Mumbai: Actress Sonali Bendre, who is undergoing treatment for metastatic cancer in New York, recently took to instagram and shared a picture with actress Gayatri Oberoi and Sussane Khan on the occasion of Friendship Day. In the picture, the actor is seen with no hair, happily posing with her friends and giving all of us some major friendship goals.
In the post, Bendre has expressed in detail how she has been discovering joy at every moment of her life in order to stay positive and strong-minded, as she braves out the frightful disease.
In an emotional post, Sonali wrote, “This is me. And in this moment, I am really happy. People give me strange looks when I say that now, but it’s true and I’ll tell you why. I am now paying attention to every moment, looking for every opportunity to find joy and #SwitchOnTheSunshine.”
The 43-year-old actor, known for films like Sarfarosh and Hum Saath Saaath Hain, had shocked the entire nation when she revealed on social media that she has been diagnosed with ‘high-grade’ Cancer. Immediately after this revelation, she had flown to America for her treatment. Once in America, Sonali had posted a video which showed how she underwent a major physical transformation at the very initiation of her treatment.
Meanwhile, Sonali’s husband Goldie Behl had also thanked fans, well-wishers and members of film fraternity on August 3 for extending their love, support and good wishes for Sonali and informed that she is stable and there are no complications in her treatment.
