Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 becomes blockbuster as film mints Rs. 175 crores

The most anticipated horror-comedy of the year, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,’ which was released on May 20, is now a blockbuster with its latest box office collection. The movie collected over Rs. 175 crores from just theatrical business in India. The film is doing overseas as well, which would add a lot more to the profit.

Made at a cost of around Rs. 70 crores, the film has turned out to be hugely profitable for one and all, emerging as one of the biggest successes of all times when it comes to a mid-budget (in this time period) production with a major star and director.

Taking to Twitter, trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the benchmarks of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As per his tweet, the film made Rs 50 cr on its third day of release, and Rs 75 cr on day five. Likewise Rs. 100 cr on day nine and Rs. 175 cr on day 27.

For starters as per Sumit, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ “is a well-made horror-comedy”. It belongs to the genre that has been gaining momentum and has amassed a considerable fan following in India given the unprecedented success of films like ‘Stree’ and ‘Go Goa Gone.’

It is a sequel to Akshay Kumar’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa released in 2007 and became a blockbuster itself.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu in lead roles. Apart from them, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, and Ashwini Kalsekar also play pivotal roles.
