Bhubaneswar: The year 2018 saw a lot of fresh talent enter the glamorous world of Bollywood. While some were star kids, there were others who were no where connected to Bollywood or showbiz. All said and done, these debutants left a lasting impact on the minds of viewers through their acting chops and talent.
As 2018 draws to a close, here is a look at the Bollywood debutants this year who made a mark in their very first film
- Janhvi Kapoor
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor debuted in Dharma Production’s Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter. She impressed viewers with her brilliant dancing skills and proved that she is here to stay.

Shahid Kapoor’s stepbrother Ishaan Khatter made his debut with Iranian director Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’ opposite
- Sara Ali Khan
Daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan debuted with Abhisekh Kapoor’s Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Sara’s fresh look and her confident attitude mesmerised one and all. At present, she is looking forward to the release of her second film Simmba where she stars alongside Ranveer Singh.
- Dulquer Salmaan
Son of South Superstar Mammotty, Dulquer Salmaan is big name down South. He made his debut in Karwaan which also starred Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. Salmaan impressed fans with his good looks, brilliant acting chops and an impressive command over Hindi.
- Mouni Roy
After becoming a household name with the portrayal of Ichchadhaari Naagin on small screen, Mouni made her debut in Akshay Kumar’s Gold. The film became a hit and now Mouni has some big releases like Brahmastra and Made In China in her kitty.
- Radhika Madan
Having won hearts as Ishani in Colors TV show ‘Meri Aashiqui Ab Tum Hi Ho’, Radhika Madan made her Bollywood debut in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Pataakha which also starred Sanya Malhotra. Radhika impressed critics with her portrayal of a rural Rajasthani girl who is always at loggerheads with ther sister.
- Avinash Tiwary
Avinash Tiwary made his debut in Laila Majnu, a love story based in Kashmir. Although Laila Majnu failed to make it big at the box office, Avinash won hearts with his flawless acting skills and charming good looks.
