‘Bad Man’ Gulshan Grover joins Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi

Mumbai: Rohit Shetty has reportedly finalized his antagonist for his upcoming cop drama Sooryavanshi and it is none other than the ‘Bad Man’ Gulshan Grover. The movie, scheduled to be a 2020 release has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.

“This antagonist is a new kind of opposition to the hero. His sense of good and bad have blurred. While you may think that he is bad, he thinks he is a good guy. For someone who is as known for his looks as he is for his performances, Gulshan Grover will be sporting a different look for Sooryavanshi this time around as well,” reported DNA.

Akshay and Gulshan have done a number of masala flicks in the past; Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Hera Pheri, International Khiladi to name a few.

While Gulshan didn’t directly acknowledge being part of the cop drama, he said, “All I can say at this point is that I’m a huge fan of Rohit Shetty’s films. I’m a bigger believer that not only does he deserve all the success he has got but also deserves a lot more for the way he understands the responsibility of success and mega-movies entertainment so well.”

Sooryavanshi, co-produced by Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar, is scheduled for Eid 2020 release. It will face a box office clash with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah.
