Ayushmann Khurrana Pens Emotional Poem After Winning National Award For ‘Andhadhun’

Mumbai: After winning the ‘Best Actor’ Award for Andhadhun at National Film Awards, Ayushmann Khurrana wrote a heartfelt poem on his win and shared it on Instagram.

In the poem, the ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ actor expressed his feelings about his struggles and how he reached at this level today.

In the poem, written in Hindi, Ayushmann talks about how it rained when he came to Mumbai for the first time as it is raining today. He adds that he had as many dreams as the number of people in the city and he maintains the enthusiasm to fulfill all of them.

Concluding his poem, he writes that the struggles he faced during his film journey made him deserve the National Award today.

Andhadhun won two more awards for Best Hindi Film and Best Adapted Screenplay. Ayushmann’s another release of 2018, Badhaai Ho was adjudged as the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

After finding out that he has won the National Award for Andhadhun said, “It’s truly humbling and hugely gratifying to win the coveted National Awards. As an artist, I have always tried to back disruptive content that stands out for its quality content. Today’s honour is a validation of my hard work, my belief system, my journey in movies and my reason to be an actor in the first place. Over and above my personal win, I’m thrilled that both the films that I have done – AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho have won at the prestigious National Awards. It again validates that people of our country want to see cinema that entertains, that they can cherish, discuss and endorse.”
