Ayushmann Khurrana & Bhumi Pednekar To Reunite For Amar Kaushik’s Next
Mumbai: After starring in successful films like ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhaan’, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar are all set to reunite for the third time for Amar Kaushik’s next film.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Ayushmann and Bhumi will star together in Amar Kaushik’s next titled ‘Bala’. As per reports, the film will be a romantic comedy and will narrate the story of a prematurely balding man (played by Ayushmann) and a girl (Bhumi Pednekar) battling skin-color prejudices in the society.
The film is being produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, which had earlier produced Amar Kaushik’s hit horror comedy ‘Stree’. The film is set to go on floors early next year and is slated for a September release.
Speaking about ‘Bala’, Dinesh Vijan said, “Bala will be a comedy with a message, Vijan told Mumbai Mirror. “Through their journey, the film impresses on the fact that most of us are usually attracted to outward beauty and don’t go beyond that to understand the real person”.
Notably, ‘Bala’ will be Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s third collaboration after Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017).
