Are Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif still part of Jee Le Zaraa! Farhan Akhtar spills the bean

Farhan Akhtar has finally broken the silence on his much awaited movie Jee Le Zaraa, which was first announced in 2021 with a star-studded cast including Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif. Notwithstanding the wait that felt like an eternity, Farhan has revealed that the project is not actually cancelled, but it has been kept on the backburner for the time being. In an interview recently, Farhan disclosed that he has already completed location scouting and song recordings for the project.

But he cannot confirm whether the original cast will continue with the project. “I’ve completed scouting locations and recording music, so it’s just a matter of catching up on where we left off,” Farhan said, leaving out the possibility that the movie could still push through, although at an unspecified time. The delay in the release of the film had fueled speculations that it was postponed because of scheduling nightmares. Alia Bhatt was heard earlier stating that it was difficult to get everyone together, but everyone was eager to do it.

Farhan made the announcement of Jee Le Zaraa on the 20th anniversary of his directorial venture Dil Chahta Hai, and it was to be his directorial return. But he’s now announced another film, Don 3, featuring Ranveer Singh, which is currently his priority. In the meantime, Farhan’s waiting for the release of his new film 120 Bahadur, based on the real-life story of the Battle of Rezang La. It’s set to release on November 21 and features a diverse cast of Raashii Khanna and Vivan Bhatena.

Although the fans may have to wait a little longer for Jee Le Zaraa, Farhan’s word of reassurance that the project is not completely dead yet at least offers them hope. The script of the buddy road film has been appreciated, and the fans are looking forward to its release. Since Farhan has a history of giving hits, fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Jee Le Zaraa will reach the screens soon.
