Mumbai: Anushka Sharma is undoubtedly one of the most talented actresses in the Hindi film industry. Time and again, she has proved her mettle with stupendous performances in films like ‘Band Baaja Baarat’, ‘NH-10’ ‘Pari’ and more recently ‘Zero’.
Currently, Anushka is in London but she has already zeroed down her next venture. According to reports, the ‘Phillauri’ actress is all set to play a cop on the big screen for the first time in a hard-hitting story. The script is said to be very close to Anushka’s heart as it will have Anushka in a never-seen-before avatar.
She is looking forward to being a part of the film as she has always backed content-driven films. Currently, the project is in the pre-production stage and once it’s done, Anushka will start her intense training for the film.
On the work front, Anushka was last seen in Aanand L. Rai’s ‘Zero’ where she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. In the film, she played Aafia Yusufzai Bhinder, a scientist with cerebral palsy.
Despite the film doing average at the box office, she was praised for her honest portrayal of Aafia, with Namrata Joshi of The Hindu calling her performance “earnest and invested”.
