Anushka Sharma & Kartik Aaryan Crowned ‘Hottest Vegetarians’ By PETA
Mumbai: Anushka Sharma and Kartik Aaryan have been crowned the ‘Hottest Vegetarians’ by PETA’s annual poll which honors stars for their love for animals. The names were announced after a poll on the website declared Sharma and Aaryan as the most-voted celebrities for the title. Interestingly, Anushka won for the third time- she had previously won the title in 2015 and 2017.

Commenting on the newly named India’s Hottest Vegetarians, Sachin Bangera, PETA’s Associate Director of celebrity and public relations, said “Anushka Sharma and Kartik Aaryan are saving animals by keeping them off their plates, and by sharing their commitment to being meat-free with the world. Their compassion makes them as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, and that makes them winners in our book.”
Anushka’s PETA ad campaign, ‘I Am Anushka Sharma, and I’m a Vegetarian.’ Being ever vocal about her love for animals. the actress has raised her voice against firecrackers during Diwali to reduce the sound pollution and panic to dogs and cats. Expressing happiness over being vegetarian, Anushka says, “Going vegetarian was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have more energy, I feel healthier and I’m so happy that no animals had to suffer for my meals.”
Kartik Aaryan, who has been crowned the hottest vegetarian for the first time has always stood against animal cruelty. He says, “It only took one video of animals suffering and dying in the meat industry to convince me to go vegetarian. The kindest thing anybody can do for cows, pigs, chickens, and all animals is to stop eating them.”
