Mumbai: After giving a phenomenal performance in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, Alia Bhatt is on a roll. The actress has some really interesting projects in her kitty which include Abhisekh Varman’s ‘Kalank’ and Karan Johar’s magnum opus ‘Takht’.
And if the latest reports are anything to go by, then the young actor is all set to star in a film helmed by ‘Baahubali’ director SS Rajamouli. She will feature alongside South actors Ram Charan Tej and Jr NTR in the film.
In the last couple of days, rumours of Alia starring and then walking out of the film continued on the internet. After the phenomenal success of the Baahubali franchise, SS Rajamouli’s next is one of the most anticipated projects. Starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead, the film is said to be a big budget bilingual.
A source close to the project told Filmfare, “The lookout for a female star to play the lead opposite Ram Charan and Jr NTR was on for a while but now they have finally locked Alia Bhatt post her extraordinary performance in Gully Boy. It’s for the first time that Alia will be working with the team and they’re very thrilled about it.”
