Ajay Devgn’s psychological thriller ‘Naam’ to finally release after 2 decades

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s psychological thriller ‘Naam’ has finally landed on a release date. There are a number of films that does not get released even after the entire film is shot. Although, it is unfortunate that some actors don’t get to see their hard work pay off and be loved by their fans, some movies however, do get released after a year or two. Such seems to be the case for Anees Bazmee’s psychological thriller, Naam, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead. However, not just a few years but this film saw a backburner of almost two decades.

Naam was shot in the early 2000s. Reportedly, the film went on floors around 2004 and took a year or two to be finished. Now, the film is looking forward to release May or June, 2022.

Earlier, reports suggested that the film might release in 2013, and again in 2020 after Bazmee’s It’s My Life released. But, on both the occasions the release wasn’t finalized.

Trade analyst Komal Nahata took his Twitter today to inform deets on the film’s progress. He tweeted, “@ajaydevgn ‘s #Naam directed by @BazmeeAnees is all set for a summer release. It’s a suspense psychological thriller where the audiences will enjoy the actor’s action-laden youthful look. The movie is being produced by #RoongtaEntertainment.”

The story of the movie revolves around a person who loses his memory and embarks on a journey to find his identity. The film has been shot in Switzerland and Mumbai.

The film marks Bazmee’s fourth collaboration with Ajay after ‘Hulchul’, ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’ and ‘Deewangee’

On the work front, Ajay Devgn is currently promoting ‘Runway 34’.
