Aditya Roy Kapoor & Taapsee Pannu In Anurag Basu’s Next
Mumbai: A few days back, Filmfare had reported that ace-filmmaker Anurag Basu is planning a multistarrer sequel to his 2007 film “Life In A… Metro.” The magazine had also reported that Basu has roped in Saif Ali Khan, Abhisekh Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao for the film. Besides, it was also revealed that Parineeti Chopra will be paired opposite Rajkummar in the multistarrer.
And if the latest reports are to be believed, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu are the latest addition to the ensemble starcast. This was also confirmed by a leading tabloid, which stated that Aditya will star opposite Taapsee in Anurag Basu’s next.
According to Filmfare, Aditya has been cast for Anurag’s film that is being made on the lines of his earlier movie Life in A… Metro (2007), but it is likely to have a different title. The team was scouting for a good-looking Gen-Y actor. Bhushan Kumar, who’s producing the project along with Basu, met Aditya and narrated the part to him. Adi has given a green signal and signed on the dotted line.
There were also rumours that Taapsee has been replaced by Fatima Sana Sheikh. However, sources informed that the ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ actress has been approached for a different role and Taapsee is very much a part of the project. Aditya and Taapsee’s love story will be very different from the other three stories in the film, with a funny take on love.
