Aamir Khan’s Daughter Ira To Make Her Directorial Debut Soon
Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan is all set to make her big directorial debut. According to latest reports, Ira will helm a theatre production called ‘Euripides Medea’. The play will reportedly have a Greek tragedy storyline and will be showcased in different parts of India towards the end of this year.
Meanwhile, a source close to Ira revealed to a leading portal that she has already started work on her directorial debut and the play will be premiered in December. The rehearsals for the same will kick-start soon in Mumbai.
Confirming the same, a source informed, “She has been working hard from the scripting to the direction she has been hands-on. It’s been more than six months she is preparing on this project and lately, even working overnights to make it perfect. It seems she automatically adopted a few habits from father like making a task perfect. The rehearsals will start in Mumbai suburbs.”
Ira also shared a picture of her from the sets of the play and wrote on her social media handle, “I wish I did this every day! That’s a lie. My feet need a day off sometimes. But apart from that…”
Speaking about her love for theatre, she said, “There’s no particular reason that I decided to start with theatre. I love theatre, it’s magical and all-consuming; in its classical form, in the world of technology, it’s very real and physical. I love the suspension of disbelief that the audience allows for because then there’s so much you can express.”
