5 Reasons Rajnikanth’s ‘2.0’ is a must watch

Thalaivar Rajnikanth returns as AI robot Chitti and Dr. Vaseegaran in ‘2.0’ with Khiladi Akshay Kumar as the baddest baddie ever

Bhubaneswar:   Enthiran was released in three languages in 2010; in Tamil as Enthiran, in Hindi as Robot and in Telugu as Robo. It had an ensemble cast of Rajnikanth, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Danny Denzongpa in prominent roles.

‘2.0’, a spiritual sequel to Robot, released today world-wide and has already piqued every fan’s attention. Rajnikanth returns as AI robot Chitti and Dr. Vaseegaran, a double role, with Akshay Kumar in a never seen before negative character. In addition to its original language Tamil, ‘2.0’ will be releasing in 14 other languages in dubbed versions. The movie also has Adil Hussain, Suddhansu Pandey, Amy Jackson, Kalabhavan Shajohn amongst others as part of extended cast.

Reason 1 : Rajnikanth’s mere presence in a movie makes it a blockbuster. He has been experimental with his last few ventures. Kochadiiyaan, Linga, Kabali, Kaala are a few examples of such.

Reason 2 : Director Shankar is known to pull all stops in making a mega block buster film. And ‘2.0’ is the most expensive Indian film ever made, said to have the budget of 7 Hollywood movies. Shankar’s  previous movies such as Nayak and Robot  have set the benchmark pretty high.

Reason 3 : ‘2.0’ has got the best VFX team on board. The trailers contained snippets of the amazing work done by the team. The VFX is beyond excellent and viewers can only enjoy it in 3D.

Reason 4 : Akshay Kumar makes his south cinema’s debut with ‘2.0’. He comes as a smartphone stealing, winged, creepy villain. Huge effort by the costumes and prosthetic department is laudable with complete transformation of Khiladi Kumar.
