200 cr money laundering case: Gifted actress Nora Fatehi luxury car, says conman Sukesh

Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi is currently being questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Rs. 200 crore money laundering case. The lawyer of Sukesh Chandrasekhar, the accused under investigation for cheating and extortion, has claimed that the actress has received a luxury car from his client as a gift.

On Saturday, Sukesh was produced at a Delhi court, where he told the media that he has gifted a car to Nora. He added that the media should question her about this.

Earlier, the accused’s lawyer Anant Malik said to the court that Nora Fatehi claims to be a victim but she was gifted a BMW car. He also claimed that Sukesh and actress Jacqueline were involved romantically. He further said that they are the ones being called for questioning because they are the ultimate beneficiaries.

Nora’s statement was recorded by the ED on October 14, it was then the investigators learned about Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s gift to the star.

Meanwhile, Nora has denied being a part of any money laundering activity. Being a victim in the case she is currently serving as a witness and cooperating with the officers in the investigation. A week ago, Nora’s team also released a statement regarding the matter where they said, “We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by the ED to strictly help with the investigation.”

Delhi police arrested Sukesh Chandrasekhar and his wife Leena Paul for allegedly tricking the family of Fortis Healthcare promoter, Shivinder Singh, of around Rs. 200 crores. The ED raided some of the accused’s properties and seized a sea-facing bungalow in Chennai in August this year. Apart from that, around ₹82.5 lakh cash and over a dozen luxury cars owned by the accused were also confiscated.
