Will serve Odisha till my last breath: CM Naveen Patnaik

Gunupur: Biju Janta Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik spoke to the general public at a public rally here on Sunday as part of his marathon election campaign for upcoming elections.

Once again CM minced no words in criticizing the Modi-led central government. He said, “State’s much successful AAHAR yojana was rejected by Centre. Why was it rejected if it benefitted common man?”

“Centre refused to provide rice at Re 1 to improvised families of Odisha.”

“30 lakh Odia people were denied of rice. But our government has been successful at giving rice to every poor Odia family”, said BJD chief Naveen Patnaik at Nabrangpur rally.

Even though CM Naveen didn’t pointedly take PM Narendra Modi or BJP’s name he did denounce the ruling government at the Nabrangpur public rally.

“Cyclone Titli created havoc in Odisha. But the centre rather gave financial aid to Andhra Pradesh. Suffering Odia people were forgotten by the central government. We were given funds but delayed.” said BJD chief Naveen Patnaik.

Bringing forth the gap in public services development, CM Naveen said at Nabrangpur rally- “While the centre has spent only Rs 1000 cr in providing drinking water supply projects, our government has invested Rs 12,000 cr for the drinking water projects in Odisha.”

Ending his speech, the four-time CM said that Odisha’s 4.5 crore public is his family. He added, “I will serve them till my last breath.”
