Bhubaneswar: In yet another jolt to Congress in Odisha finding it hard to gather strength in Odisha over dissidence, its spokesperson for Odisha Sonali Sahoo today resigned from the party following displeasure over ticket allotment.

Sahoo, who was unhappy on the leadership of the party in the State submitted her resignation to OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik this morning. In her resignation letter, she stated, “I am resigning from the primary membership of Congress due to callousness of party leadership.”

Notably, Sonali was aspiring for a ticket to contest poll from Khordha Assembly Constituency but the party had refused for it.

Notably, on April 9 Odisha Mahila Congress president Sumitra Jena had left the grand old party post denial of a ticket to contest election. She later joined BJD.
