Bhubaneswar: Adding to the ever changing political climate in the State ahead of the upcoming election, former BJD leader and current Anandpur Assembly candidate of BJP Bhagirathi Sethi returned to the conch party today.
Sethi formally returned to BJD fold in the presence of CM Naveen Patnaik at his residence in the city.
In his reaction on re-joining of BJD Sethi said, the growing infighting in the saffron party pushed him for the homecoming. Similarly, he also alleged that some leaders in BJP were also hatching conspiracy against him.
“I am glad that Bhagirathi Sethi has retruned to the Biju Janata Dal. His rejoining will strengthen the party,” said Naveen after welcoming Sethi back to his party.
Notably, Sethy had been elected to the Odisha Assembly from Anandpur in 2009. However, BJD had replaced him with Mayadhar Jena in 2014 due to which he had resigned.
