Amit Shah to conduct road show in Puri tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Adding to the BJP national leaders’ whirlwind visit to Odisha for poll campaign, the party’s national president Amit Shah will visit religious town Puri tomorrow.

As per the schedule mentioned by party’s spokesperson Golak Mohapatra, Shah will conduct a road show through the holy ‘Bada Danda’ (Grand Road) amid thousands of supporters.

The road show which will begin from Singhadwara (Lion’s Gate) of Sri Jagannath temple will culminate at Mausi Maa temple.

Shah’s visit to Puri bears significance at a juncture when BJD has declared to make Puri the ‘Spiritual Capital’ of India in its poll manifesto for Odisha released yesterday. Similarly, the party has also fielded its candidate Sambit Patra from Puri Lok Sabha seat in an ambitious move.

Moreover, PM Narendra Modi is also likely to visit the State on April 15 or 16 to for poll campaign in Bhubaneswar, informed Mohapatra.

Notably, Shah visited Polsara of Ganjam district along with Bargarh to address election rallies where he launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJD government in Odisha.
